John BRIDGMAN -ca.1715?===
Biographical Note
The identity of this man, presumably a lawyer, has not been traced in the university or inns of court lists. He is not the John Bridgeman, son of John Bridgeman of Prinknash Park, Gloucestershire, who entered 3 and was MP for Gloucester in 1701, as he died in 1729.
Books
We only know that "the library of the eminent John Bridgman, Esq; lately deceas'd, consisting of a choice collection of many valuable books of the common and statute law, history, &c (amongst which is a curious collection of law manuscripts" was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 41 July 1715. No catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in The Daily Courant.
