Anscel BEAUMONT 1621-86

Biographical Note

Born at Apsley Guise, Bedfordshire. Admitted at the Middle Temple 1664, and practised as a Lawyer in London and Surrey.

Books

In his will, Beaumont bequeathed "all my presidents manuscripts and all my lawe books in my study at Lyons Inn" to his son John; there is no mention of any other books. His library was auctioned in London, 21.3.1687, as part of a joint sale with the books of Jeremiah Copping "and others". the sale was a large one, and it is not evident which books came from which source.
