Christopher CONSTANTINE -1714

Biographical Note

Son of Henry Constantine of Summerbridge House, Netherdale, Yorkshire. Not traced in the University lists; admitted at Middle Temple 1683, bencher 1708. Buried in the Temple Church, January 1714.

Books

Constantine's library, together with that of "another gentleman deceased", was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 11 June 1714; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in The Daily Courant as "a collection of valuable books, of the common and civil law, divinity, history, &c ... with manuscripts".
