Draper DONNING 1682?-1710
Biographical Note
Son of Nicholas Donning, of London. Matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford, 1698, but did not graduate; admitted a barrister at the Inner Temple 1704.
Books
Donning’s library was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 17 January 1712; the sale catalogue states that is only ‘part of’ the whole, noting that ‘written catalogues of the remaining part are to be had at the place of sale’. The printed part comprises 323 lots, divided between Greek, Latin, French, Italian and other non-English books (177 lots); English books (71); and law books (75).
