Henry PARKER d.ca.1681?
Biographical Note
Lawyer, of Gray’s Inn, not otherwise traced. Alston's attribution to the barrister Henry Parker (1604-52) seems dubious, in view of the dates.
Books
Parker's law books were auctioned in London, 5.12.1681, together with those of "another eminent professor of the law". Millington, the auctioneer, noted in his preface the desirability of holding a law sale, "after so many sales by auction of the libraries of several eminent clergymen". The sale catalogue contains 427 lots, all legal texts, mostly in English, with many sets of law reports and statutes.
Characteristic Markings
None of Parker's books have been identified.
