Vincent BARRY 1660/1-1708

Biographical Note

Son of Vincent Barry of Hampton Gay, Oxfordshire, gentleman. BA Oriel College, Oxford 1680, MA 1683; student at the Inner Temple 1683. Vicar of Fulham, chaplain general of the Fleet.

Barry’s library was auctioned in London, 28.3.1709. The catalogue lists 991 lots, divided only by language and size (not subject): Latin books (304 lots), English (680), 'libri omissi' (7).
