John JOHNSON d.1541

Biographical Note

Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge, with academic legal qualifications (there is uncertainty as to whether he was a canon or civil lawyer).

Books

Johnson's probate inventory includes 82 titles, in 131 volumes, valued at £9 12s 3d (from a total estate valued at ca.£70 4s). The books are almost entirely Latin, with a few Greek ones, with a predominance of law and theology alongside some other subjects.
