Biographical Note

Bennet's bookplates identify him as a Judge of the [[organisations::Marshall's Court] in 1703.

He used two engraved bookplates, both of which read "Bennet, John, Esqr., Judge of the Marshall's Court. 1703" (Franks 2201 and Franks 428, the latter being another impression of the same plate).
