Biographical Note

BA Magdalen College, Oxford 1610, MA 1613, BD 1621, DD 1639. Usher of Magdalen College School, Oxford 1612, Master 1617-25; vicar of Croydon, Surrey 1624, rector of West Tarring, Sussex 1629, of Buxted 1638. Sequestered from his livings, 1644.

Books

In his will, Bernard directed that his books be divided between three of his sons, Francis, John and Samuel; the size of his library is not known.
