Biographical Note
Born at Hatley St George, Cambridgeshire, son of Samuel Trefusis of Trefusis, Cornwall. His mother, Alice Cotton, was descended from Sir Robert Cotton. MA Pembroke College, Cambridge 1728, fellow 1733-37. MP for Truro 1734-41.
Books
Trefusis used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 29766). The extent of his library is not known; his will has no mention of books, which would have passed with all his goods and chattels to his son Robert.
