Thomas MORLEY d.ca.1730
Books
The library of "Thomas Morley, Esq; Serjeant at Law, lately deceased" was auctioned in London, beginning 10 June 1730; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Post and Daily Journal. This seems likely to be the Thomas Morley of Nottingham whose will was proved on 23 April 1730, though this has no mention of a legal career, of of books; much of his property was to be disposed of by trustees for the benefit of his three children. He is, presumably, the "gentleman said to be Thomas Morley, Serjeant at law, nephew of George Morley, Bishop of Winchester".
