Biographical Note
Born in London, son of Henry Southouse, gentleman. Matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge 1688, but did not graduate; he was subsequently admitted at the Inner Temple and pursued a legal career.
Books
Southouse's will has no mention of books; he bequeathed the residue of his estate to his nephew Thomas, and the will is otherwise concerned with monetary bequeats around his family. "Part" of his library was auctioned in London, beginning 28 June 1716.
