Biographical Note

Son of Thomas Austin of Lostwithiel, Cornwall. BA Exeter College, Oxford, 1630. While at Oxford Austin published a poem: Urania, or, the heavenly muse 1629, a 'committed exegesis on the biblical narratives of fall and redemption' (ODNB). He later became vicar of Menheniot, Cornwall 1646 (ejected 1660), and apparently lived and preached in Plymouth thereafter (briefly imprisoned).
