Richard KNIGHT d.1639
Biographical Note
Vicar of Temple Church (Holy Cross), Bristol, 1634-39; his previous history is not known. There are several Richard Knights recorded as graduates from Oxford and Cambridge in the late 16th /early 17th century who might be the man.
Books
Knight’s probate inventory includes a statement (separate from the main listing of his goods) that his books were valued at 20 nobles, i.e. £6 13s 4d. The remainder of his estate (including a map of the world, valued at 3s 4d, and old paper pictures with paper maps at 2s) was valued at £13.
