John BROMHALL d.1630

Biographical Note

Son of John Bromhall of Sound, Cheshire; a family of yeoman farmers.

Books

Bromhall’s probate inventory includes “all his books with booke frame”, valued at £5 6s, from a total estate valued at ca.£270. His will, which makes extensive and specific provision for many household goods, does not mention books, which would have been part of the residue of the estate, divided three ways between his wife and children.
