Biographical Note
Staunton Harold, Leicestershire; second son of Robert Shirley (1673-99).
Characteristic Markings
An engraved armorial bookplate was made for him (not earlier than 1711, the year in which his grandfather was created Earl Ferrers, to which the plate refers).
