Henry FIELD 1621/2-62
Biographical Note
Fellow of Christ's College, Cambridge 1645-8, Rector of Uffington, Lincolnshire 1645, ejected 1660, imprisoned for seditious preaching 1661.
Books
A number of books survive with distinctive manuscript book labels in red ink, "Henry Feilde", with running numbers suggesting a sizeable library. An entire calligraphic manuscript of his, dated 1642, was in the Pirie sale at Sotheby's (NY), 2.12.2015/368, and a manuscript volume of Donne’s sermons made by him is now Bodleian MS Eng.th.c.71.
