Richard BUCKBY d.1718
Biographical Note
Buckby's immediate family and education have not been traced (he is not found in the university lists), but his will shows that he was a grandson of SirRichard Rainsford (1605-1680), Lord Chief Justice 1676-78. He was a member (and presumably barrister) of Lincoln's Inn.
Books
Buckby used an engraved armorial bookplate dated 1703 (Franks 4224/*194/*378). The extent of his library is not known; in his will, he left "all my law books law manuscripts Greek and Latin books" to his nephew Matthew Skinner. Most of the rest of his estate was left to his daughter Ann.
