Biographical Note
Of Hamstead Hall, and Handsworth, Staffordshire; knighted 1677, the year in which he (or more probably his father Sir John, knighted 1641, d.1687) was High Sheriff of Staffordshire.
Books
Wyrley’s library was sold by fixed price catalogue in London, 17 October 1715. The catalogue included 914 lots, divided between Latin books (199), French and Italian books (254), and English books (461).
