Timothy HALTON 1632?-1704
Biographical Note
Provost of Queen’s College, Oxford. Part-funded, and oversaw, the building of a new library for Queen’s in the 1690s; bequeathed 300 books in folio, and 200 in quarto, to the college. Remainder of library auctioned in Oxford, 13.2.1706 (no catalogue survives).
