John SPENCER 1558/9-1614
Biographical Note
Of Suffolk, son of John Spencer. BA Corpus Christi College, Oxford 1577, fellow 1579, MA 1581, BD 1590, DD 1602, President 1607. Vicar of Alveley, Essex 1589, and held various other livings; fellow of Chelsea College 1610, chaplain to James I, canon of St Paul's 1612.

Spencer bequeathed ca.50 volumes to Corpus Christi.
