Stephen HUNT 1657/8-1714?
Biographical Note
Son of Richard Hunt, of Stratford upon Avon. BA Trinity College, Oxford 1673, MA 1676, MD Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge 1694. Admitted as a licenciate of the Royal College of Physicians 1694. Practised as a physician in Canterbury.
Books
Hunt gave or bequeathed his library to Canterbury Cathedral in 1714, “in wch were a great many curiositys purposely purchased … a little before his death”. The Cathedral donors' book notes that these included many philological, philosophical and medical books, including some in French.
