Nicholas TUFTON, 3rd Earl of Thanet 1631-79
Biographical Note
Son of Edward Tufton, 2nd Earl, from whom he inherited the title in 1664, along with the hereditary post of High sheriff of Westmorland.

An inventory taken in 1664 shows Tufton to have had a library of ca.100 books.
