Joseph ECCLESHALL d.1693

Biographical Note

Son of Henry Eccleshall, of Coseley, Staffordshire. BA Emmanuel College, Cambridge 1654. Lecturer at Dudley, Staffordshire 1654; vicar of Sedgley 1657, ejected 1662. Remained in and around Sedgley as an independent minister, where he was licensed to preach as a Presbyterian in 1672.

Eccleshall’s probate inventory includes 180 books valued at £12, from a total estate valued at £239.
