Isaac LOWDER or LOWDEN -1612
Biographical Note

Books
Lowden’s probate inventory includes a list of ca.70 books, valued at £5 16s, out of a total estate valued at £10 8s 4d (he owned no property and his belongings amounted otherwise only to clothes and the most basic contents of a rented room). The books included a high proportion of theology in English and Latin, including patristics and commentaries; he also owned some standard classical texts (he would have been a schoolmaster as well as a curate), and a few other miscellaneous titles including law and medicine.
