William BELLAMY d.1733
Biographical Note
Details of Bellamy's birth and early career are not known; he was reader at Clement's Inn in 1723, auditor-general of the Duchy of Lancaster, and by the time of his death Master of the Crwon Office. In his will, he described himself as being of the Inner Temple.
Books
Bellamy used an engraved armorial bookplate, of bookpile design (Franks 2157); the extent and disposition of his library is not known. His will has no specific to books, and is largely concerned with the disposal of property and money for the benefit of his wife and infant son.
