Nehemiah WALLINGTON 1598-1658
Biographical Note
Born at St Leonard Eastcheap, London; son of John Wallington, citizen and turner (1552/3–1638). Also a turner, Wallington set up shop in 1620. He kept a diary, which includes references to his buying and reading of books.
Books
Wallington's diary shows that he owned over 200 titles. He left The Mighty Works of the Lord, which is a Prop to Faith to his wife, and a book on patience to his half-sister, Patience, and bequeathed all of his notebooks to his son-in-law, John Houghton.
