John MALDEN 1622/3-1681

Biographical Note

Born at Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire, son of John Malden, vicar there. Matriculated at Pembroke College, Oxford 1638, but did not graduate. Vicar of Cheswardine, Shropshire 1647, curate of Newport, Shropshire 1656, ejected 1662. Licensed to preach as an independent minister in Whitchurch, 1672.

Malden’s probate inventory includes books valued at £10, from a total estate valued at £135.
