Armorial stamp of James Gresham (British Armorial Bindings)

Biographical Note

Son of Thomas Gresham of North End, Fulham. Admitted at the Inner Temple 1636 (barrister 1652). MP for Haslemere, Surrey 1661, and 1679, and held several local administrative offices; he was noted as "a lover of antiquity".
