Thomas POVEY 1613/4-1705

Biographical Note

Of London; son of Justinian Povey (d.c.1652). Administrator, and merchant. Entered Gray's Inn in 1633, appointed MP for Liskeard in 1647 and secluded in 1648. An original member of the Royal Society, Povey served on its council in 1663, 1679, and 1691.

Books
