Biographical Note

Son of Richard Howlett, of Baddow, Essex, clerk. BA St John's College, Cambridge 1664, fellow 1664, MA 1667.

Books

Howlett bequeathed ca.80 volumes to St John’s, mostly in European languages. Around 30 survive in the College Library today, largely in French or Italian. The full extent of his library is not known. Examples: St John's F.13.22, Dd.19.16, and others there.
