Biographical Note
Secretary to Sir Henry Wotton, poet, friend of John Donne.
Books
His books, which initially entered the Fane family library at Apethorpe, are now dispersed; his inscriptions regularly include the Spanish motto “De juegos el mejor es con la hoja”.
