BL Sloane MS 2392 is a small octavo blank book (in a later binding) with the name ‘Edward Bassett May 3d [16]76’ near the front. The first half of the book is filled with [[subject of bookd::medicine|medical]]/[[subject of books::apothecary|apothecary’s]] recipes, while the second half is a library list, ‘Catalogus librorum’, comprising 885 books in various languages/formats.  There are numerous medical books but many other subjects besides. The two parts of the book are in different hands, and it is not apparent that Bassett was the owner of the books.  There are also some details of books loaned or exchanged.
