John LEVESON-GOWER, 1st Baron Gower 1675-1709
Biographical Note
Born at Trentham Hall, Staffordshire, the eldest son of Sir William Leveson-Gower, fourth baronet (c.1647-1691). MP for Newcastle under Lyme 1692, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster 1702.
Characteristic Markings
Used several engraved armorial bookplates.
