Sir Thomas PARRY 1544-1616

Biographical Note

Of Hampstead Marshall, Berkshire; eldest son of Sir Thomas Parry (d.1560) and Anne, daughter of Sir William Reade of Boarstall. Administrator and MP for Bridport 1571, for Berkshire 1586, and for St Albans 1610. Served as ambassador to France 1601-1606. Married Dorothy Brooke (d.1624), a former maid of honour to Queen Elizabeth.
