Biographical Note
BA Trinity College, Cambridge 1679, fellow 1681, MA 1682. Rector of Buckland, Hertfordshire 1684, of Wyddial 1693; chaplain to the Duke of Richmond. His Christian practice described, by way of essay upon the life of our Saviour was published in 1693.
Books
Skinner's will has no mention of books; he bequeathed all his goods to his brother in law Thomas Welch of Walthamstow, yeoman, and his heirs. "Part of the library" of Skinner, "consisting of a collection of valuable books in divinity, history, classical and philological learning, in several languages" was sold by retail sale in London, beginning 30 May 1712; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Courant.
Characteristic Markings
None of Skinner's books have been identified.
