Francis HAYES d.1717
Biographical Note
Hayes was a member of the Inner Temple.
Books
Hayes' will makes no mention of his books, but determines that all his possessions should be sold to pay his debts. His library was sold at retail sale in London from 18 February 1718. The catalogue, which organises the 2278 lots by language and format, describes the sale items as 'a large Collection of the Civil and Canon-Law, the Gr. Lat. Span. Ital. Fr. and Engl. Historians, Lexicographers, Books of Medals and Sculpture, &c with a large Parcel of Classicks lately come from abroad'.
