William FRASER 1691-1727

Biographical Note

Second son of William Fraser, 12th Lord Saltoun of Abernethy, Perth and Kinross. He qualified as an advocate in 1713 and was a Member of Parliament, 1722–1725.

Franks 11271 Fraser, The Honble. Mr. Wm., Esqr.; 11272 Fraser, The Honble. William, Esqr. (The last plate with inscription altered.)

Franks identifies this as ‘probably the plate of the Honble. William Fraser of Fraserfield, 2nd son of William 11th Baron Saltoun, born 1691’.
