Nathaniel BARTON 1616/7-1673

Biographical Note

Born at Broseley, Shropshire, son of Edmund Barton. BA New Inn Hall, Oxford 1638, MA 1641, BD 1649. Served in the army, as a parliamentarian, during the Civil War; was ejected as curate of Cauldwell, Derbyshire in 1662, but stayed in and around that area as an independent preacher thereafter.
