George TULLIE 1654-95
Biographical Note
Born at Carlisle, son of Isaac Tullie. BA Queen's College, Oxford 1675, MA 1678, fellow 1679. Chaplain to Richard Sterne, Archbishop of York, prebendary of York 1681, rector of Gateshead. He published doctrinal works, and a translation of Plutarch.
Books
Tullie's library was sold by retail sale in London, 21.11.1695. The catalogue lists 392 lots, “with many others not here mentioned”; those which are listed are subdivided only by language, between Latin (243 lots) and English (149).
