Theodore GULSTON or GOULSTON 1575-1632
Biographical Note
Son of William Gulstonm rector of thrapston, Northamptonshire. BA Peterhouse, Cambridge 1595; fellow of Merton College, Oxford 1596, MA 1600, MB and MD 1610. He practised as a physician, initially in Leicestershire before moving to London where he became a fellow of the College of Physicians in 1611. He became wealthy and successful, established an annual lecture series at the College, and published editions of Aristotle as well as (posthumously) medical works.
Books
Many of his books given to Merton College, Oxford by his widow; some of his books were also given to Peterhouse, Cambridge.
