Son of [[family::Thomas Paget]], 4th [[personal title::baron paget]] (c.[[date of birth::1544]]-[[date of death::1590]]). Matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford in 1587; BA 1590. Admitted to the [[organisations::Middle Temple]] in 1611. Accompanied [[associates::Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex|Essex]] on his Cadiz expedition in 1596, and [[associates::Sir Robert Cecil]] on his embassy to [[location::Paris]] in 1598.  A colonialist, Paget was heavily involved in trade through the [[organisations::East India Company]] and was [[occupation::councillor]] of the [[organisations::Virginia Company]].

Biographical Note

Son of Thomas Paget, 4th baron paget (c.1544-1590). Matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford in 1587; BA 1590. Admitted to the Middle Temple in 1611. Accompanied Essex on his Cadiz expedition in 1596, and Sir Robert Cecil on his embassy to Paris in 1598. A colonialist, Paget was heavily involved in trade through the East India Company and was councillor of the Virginia Company.

Characteristic Marking
