Mote's probate inventory includes over 500 books, valued at £31 14s 9d (from a total estate valued at £143 5s 9.1/2d). The books are mostly in Latin, with some English, Hebrew and Greek, with a predominance of theology alongside some rhetoric, history, philosophy and other subjects.
