James Anderson 1690/1-1739
Biographical Note
Born in Aberdeen, he was educated at Marischal College between 1705 and 1709. Afterwards he moved to London, where he served as the Church of Scotland minister for a congregation in Westminster. Anderson was a notable freemason, and produced The Constitution of the Freemasons in 1723. He died in London in 1739.

Anderson's library was sold at auction by Thomas Payne in London in 1739.
