Biographical Note

Son of William Walls, of Rock, Worcestershire, gentleman. BA Christ Church, Oxford 1667, MA 1670, BD 1682, DD 1694; admitted at some time at Gray's Inn. Preacher to the merchants at Hamburg 1681, canon of Worcester 1694, of St Paul's 1695; rector of Holt with Witley, Worcestershire 1695 and vicar of Wichenford 1707.

Books

In his will, Walls directed that "my Cambridge Bible that was my father's" should go to his sister Rebecca Corbin, and that otherwise all his books were to be sold by his executors, with help from George Lavington a fellow canon of Worcester, who was to receive five guineas for his trouble. His library was auctioned in London, beginning 20 February 1732; no catalogue survives, but the sale was advertised in the Daily Journal.
