Biographical Note
Son of Dennis Lyddell of St Olave's, London, gentleman. BCLChrist Church, Oxford 1724; rector of Ardingley, Sussex from 1724 until his death. The parish register for Ardingley contains a eulogy written at that time.
Books
Lyddell used an engraved armorial bookplate, which exists in two states (the later one with his degree and ordained status added; Franks 18944-5). The extent and disposition of his library are not known.
