====Biographical Note====

Son of [[family::Thomas Penwarn]] of [[location::Liskeard, Cornwall]]. Colleger at [[education::Eton College|Eton]] 1724-30. Admitted as a pensioner at [[education::Pembroke Hall, Cambridge]] 1730; BA 1733/4; MA 1741.  Ordained deacon in 1734. 
====Characteristic Markings====

Lee 282 records a printed book label ‘E Libris Gul. Penwarne, Aul. Pemb. Cantab. G.A. 173 .' with the final numeral of the year to be completed by hand; there appears to be an instance from 1733.
