William HOWARD, Viscount Andover 1714-1756

Biographical Note

Eldest son of Henry Howard, 11th Earl of Suffolk, who died in 1757 (so the title was inherited by his second son, Thomas); he had the courtesy title of Viscount Andover during his lifetime. He was educated at Eton College, but did not attend university or an Inn of Court. He was MP for Castle Rising 1737-47.

Books

Howard used an engraved armorial bookplate (Franks 15489); the extent of his library is not known.
