Described, in his sale catalogue, as a Master of Arts, but not traced in the university lists, there are possible candidates whose later careers are not recorded. Head Master of Charterhouse, 1662-79.

Watson's library was auctioned in London, 8.10.1680. the sale catalogue contains 1104 lots, divided between Latin theology, philosophy, medicine, etc (752 lots), English divinity, history, philosophy, etc (341), and 11 bundles of pamphlets.
