BA King's College, Cambridge 1585, fellow 1583, and MA 1588.

Books

Gardner's probate inventory includes over 45 books, valued at £1 0s 5d (from a total estate valued at £8 16s 3d). The books are mostly in Latin and Italian, with some Spanish, French, English and Greek. They cover a wide array of subjects, including theology, music, grammar and philosophy, among others.
